If you thought "Saw 3D" was going to be the last installment of the gory franchise, then you might want to sit down for this news. The rest of us can stand, because we saw this coming a mile away — every diehard horror fan knows that a movie claiming to be the "final" installment isn't really finished for good!
Lionsgate has just revealed that a new "Saw" flick is on the way. During an interview with CNBC, Vice Chairman Michael Burns got a little chatty about the company's big moneymaker. "I'm sure, some day, you'll see 'Saw' back in the picture," Burns said.
It makes sense, at least financially; Lionsgate has a potential franchise in "Hunger Games," but could certainly use backup from the reliable "Saw" series. From a fan standpoint, anyone who watched James Wan's "Insidious" could have guessed this was coming. Some of you may have spotted the chalk-drawn Billy the Puppet with an "8" underneath him on the blackboard in one scene.

Long-Awaited Film about Alfred Hitchcock's 'Psycho' on the Way
"Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho" is finally moving forward at Fox Searchlight. The project was trapped in development hell for four years at Paramount, but the film that follows the macabre maestro on his journey in the horror world could be seeing an April production start date. Anthony Hopkins is set to play Hitchcock, with Helen Mirren playing his wife. Their relationship is another main narrative in the movie. Sacha Gervasi ("Anvil! The Story of Anvil") will direct the picture, which is based on a non-fiction book by Stephen Rebello. Are you happy to see the studio finally abide by the granddaddy of all horror dudes?
'Evil Dead' Plot Details Revealed (Spoilers!)
If you've been wondering what the upcoming remake of Sam Raimi's 1981 horror classic, "Evil Dead," was going to be like, Moviehole recently shared a ton of plot details to appease your curiosity. Shooting starts in March in New Zealand, where the Fede Alvarez-directed movie (with writing revisions by "Jennifer's Body" scribe Diablo Cody) will take shape. Bradley Cooper Talks Leaving 'The Crow'
"28 Weeks Later's" Juan Carlos Fresnadillo was attached to direct Relativity's remake of 1994's "The Crow." Actor Bradley Cooper was set to star in the lead role, which was originally played by the late Brandon Lee. Everyone jumped ship, and all we had left was some debatable concept art showing what Cooper would have looked like as the undead avenger. Cooper recently spoke to Empire about what happened. "There really weren't that many ups and downs. We were talking about doing it because of Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who I was such a massive fan of. And timing didn't work out. Then, he just dropped out of it also, so I don't know what they're doing to do." Find out what else Cooper has to say over here.
'Final Destination 5' Artwork Scares UK Children
The poster campaign for the DVD and Blu-ray releases of "Final Destination 5" has been making UK kiddies wet their pants. Our friends across the pond have officially banned the artwork. The deed was actually done courtesy of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). A skull being shattered by a bunch of steel rods driven through it is the main culprit, and the image is no longer allowed to appear anywhere in UK territory. That means all those massive bus adverts and billboards have to go. It took only 13 complaints to get the ASA to tear it down, fearful it would cause further "fear and undue distress" to young ones. Distributor Warner Bros. argued that the skull was just a "fantasy image," but they lost the battle regardless. Are they overreacting, or do they have a point?
Another 'Snow White' Picture Enters the Ring
Someone didn't get the memo that Hollywood is on "Snow White" overload these days. David DeCoteau's low budget "Snow White: A Deadly Summer" starring Eric Roberts ("The Dark Knight") and Maureen McCormick ("The Brady Bunch") has a trailer. The modern retelling finds Snow abducted by her wicked stepmother. The young girl is taken to a discipline camp run by a ruthless hunter. Snow's fellow campers (there are seven of them) start to die off one by one, and she must uncover the deadly mystery before she becomes victim number eight.
